HBO has a new comedy coming to the network in March. Rain Dogs, which is a collaboration between BBC One and Sid Gentle Films Ltd, follows Costello Jones, a single mother doing her best to raise her 10 year old daughter on her own.

When the two are kicked out of their apartment, Costello scrambles to figure out a new living situation whilst working to provide for them, and do undercover work for a piece she’s writing. Her saving grace turns out to be Selby, her soulmate who’s recently been released from prison and has a lot of privilege. He’d gotten tied up with the law because of Costello, however, so they have some issues to work through.

Rain Dogs is being billed as an unconventional love story between Costello and Selby, who’s gay, and Iris, the little girl they both love immensely. Also a part of their dysfunctional family is Gloria, their best friend/Iris’ godmother who’s loyal but also incredibly chaotic.
