The Voice season 23 episodes: How many episodes are in season 23?

“This is The Voice.” We’re about to hear the intro song to our favorite singing competition series once again very soon! Season 23 premieres tonight, March 6, 2023, starting at 8 p.m. ET. How many episodes can we expect to see this season?

The NBC series will once again be hosted by Carson Daly, and the new set of musical talents will be mentored by Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan, and Chance the Rapper. This is a special season for Shelton, as it will be his last. Also announced is the Mega Mentor helping to coach all the teams. That will be Reba McEntire!

The Voice season 23 episodes: How many episodes are in season 23?

At the time of this writing, we don’t know how many total episodes there are exactly. But we can take a guess based on previous seasons. Season 22 was a total of 26 episodes, season 21 was 26 episodes, and season 20 was 18 episodes.

What’s different this time around is the amount of live shows has been cut significantly. Last year, The Playoffs, which was the Top 16, consisted of two episodes. Then we had the live shows which were another eight installment until Bryce Leatherwood on Team Blake was crowned the winner.

Season 23 though will be different. The Playoff Round will not be broadcast live. And from that point, the Top 20 will have to be cut down to the Top 8 to move on to the four live shows. So this time, the live shows start with the semi-finals on May 15 and May 16 with the Top 8. The finals begin on Monday, May 22, 2023 with the Top 5 until a winner is chosen the following night on May 23.

If we had to guess, we’d say there’s going to be around 21 episodes since the amount of live shows has been reduced. However, we won’t know until we get the final confirmation from NBC. Be sure to bookmark this page as we’ll be updating it as news comes from the network throughout the season.
