The Bold and the Beautiful recap (March 8): Brooke accepts Thomas’ apology

Surprise, surprise. I guess Brooke’s new found friendship with Taylor has some impact after all. The Logan accepted Thomas’ apology today on The Bold and the Beautiful. She does still blame him for the dissolution of her marriage to Ridge, and it’s obvious that she trusts him about as far as she can throw him, but she’s willing to give him another chance at Forrester Creations.

Like Steffy, she’s run the fashion firm and she knows that Hope for the Future thrives when he’s lead designer. If the brand has any hope of recovering, he’ll need to be a part of the team. Though that’s not to say Brooke is prioritizing Forresters’ bottom line over her daughter. The ball is firmly in Hope’s court, she’s just not going to stand in the way.

The chief concern, besides how Thomas hurt Hope, is Liam’s feelings on her renewed work partnership with her son’s father. Hope managed to skirt diving into the can of worms she could be opening by steering Liam toward conversing about his father and Sheila. They spent their time at the cabin mostly talking about Bill making a homicidal threat if his new love betrays him. That was Liam’s sign that his dad may be the one in the driver’s seat of this relationship.

When her husband tried to open the floor for her to talk about Douglas and the situation at work, Hope shied away from the discussion. She encouraged him to go back to Spencer Mansion to speak with Bill once again while she headed to the office. Liam didn’t notice that there was something off about his wife.

What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful?

At the mansion, Sheila was doing her best not to look guilty as Bill informed her that he told his son that she’s well aware that she’s dancing with the devil and shouldn’t cross him. For her part, she expressed that his darkness is what attracted her to him and he acknowledged that he felt the same way about her.

Liam interrupted their moment, saying he needed to talk to his father alone. Sheila didn’t mind as she was trying to keep it together as it was. It didn’t help matters that once she was upstairs, Deacon called her. She shouldn’t have picked up the phone, but she did only to tell him that they couldn’t be together and they can’t be found out. Some thing tells me, Sheila’s going to slip up at the most inopportune time.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Liam pressed Bill on his relationship with Sheila. It really does seem like he’s hiding something and the soap is about to twist. Bill said that he got Sheila out of a prison sentence for a reason, but Liam assumed he was going to say it was for love again and he didn’t want to hear it.

Perhaps if Liam hadn’t have walked away and left the house, Bill would have opened up. Anyway, Liam’s about to run head long into more drama. Hope still didn’t make a decision on today’s episode but her mom being open to the idea of Thomas working on Hope for the Future is likely to go along way. Thomas did what she asked and he apologized to Brooke, and she accepted.
