The Alien movie franchise is a popular one, and a very big one with eight films so far! If you didn’t know, 20th Century Studios has another in the works that has not been named yet. It will be directed by Fede Alvarez and we’re so excited to see more of the franchise!

Alvarez is a known filmmaker with this sort of genre as he was also in charge behind-the-scenes with the 2013 film, Evil Dead. He wrote the script for this next Alien movie with Rodo Sayagues, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The news outlet shares Ridley Scott, who directed the very first production in 1979 will be serving as a producer, with Brent O’Connor, Elizabeth Cantillon, and Tom Moran taking on executive producer duties.

Unfortunately there’s no release date just yet, and that’s because the movie is still in the very early stages! Though we do know thanks to The Hollywood Reporter that the cameras are going to start rolling March 9, 2023 in Budapest, Hungary.

The film’s official synopsis is being kept under wraps for now, however we do know that the story will center around a group of young men and women who have to fight for their lives with the alien, a creature known as a Xenomorph, per the news outlet. What kind of violent dangers are they going to have to face?

While most details are still unclear, the production has found its cast. They include Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Spike Fearn, Aileen Wu, Isabela Merced, and Shadow and Bone actor Archie Renaux, per The Hollywood Reporter.
