March 10 weekend movies: Every new movie in theaters and streaming this weekend
By Ricky Valero
Happy Ghostface weekend to everyone that is planning to celebrate. Below, we share the best new weekend movies to watch in theaters and available on streaming services that you won’t want to miss.
We have one jam-packed weekend of content that I am not sure where to begin. On the TV side of things, we have The Last of Us season finale, which will have many people’s attention. Next, on the awards side of things, the Academy Awards are finally here, with us finding out who is taking home the big prizes. Last, we have the return of our favorite killer Ghostface hitting theaters. It’s going to be a wild weekend.
Weekend movies to watch (and stream) today
- Scream VI, In Theaters
- 65, In Theaters
- Champions, In Theaters
- Chang Can Dunk, Disney+
- Luther: The Fallen Sun, Netflix
Look, as someone that wasn’t a huge fan of Scream 5 due to some of the creative choices the film made, I am still very excited to see Scream 6. I am sad that Deputy Dewey is no longer with us and won’t appear in the film, but moving the film to New York is a brilliant idea that, if it can be executed correctly, will elevate this franchise to new heights. Crossing my fingers, toes, and nose that it hits a home run.
Outside of that, we have two movies going wide this weekend that couldn’t be more opposite 65, which features Adam Driver trying to survive on a planet, and Champions, which features Woody Harrelson, who is forced to coach a team of players with intellectual disabilities. If you aren’t a fan of Ghostface, I 100% would lean toward Driver fighting dinosaurs over Champions all day.
What will you be watching this weekend? Will you enjoy a movie in theaters or streaming?
