We all know Hollywood can be a messy place, and the new FX docuseries, Sin Eater: The Crimes of Anthony Pellicano, will more than illustrate that. The two-parter airs tonight, March 10, 2023 starting at 10 p.m. ET. It will also be available to stream on Hulu.
The man behind the title of the New York Times presented documentary was a high-profile private investigator in Los Angeles. And his methods to get information were certainly not of the legal type. After his arrest in 2002 and another time in 2006, it was revealed that he, some of the most famous people in the industry, and their lawyers used illegal ways to get information about those they were against, per the Hollywood Reporter.
So what can you expect to see in the doc? What will you learn? We’ve got the answer for you below!
What is Sin Eater on FX about?
As the trailer reveals, Sin Eater will feature never-before-heard recordings that were used as evidence to bring down the powerful PI. The series uncovers the “dirty methods and vast lengths” Pellicano was willing to go for the high-profile celebrities that hired him, per the synopsis.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first episode explores how industry stars were able to beat the legal system at that time, thanks to the private investigator illegally wiretapping phone lines. The second episode will show how those in Hollywood are not held accountable most of the time. Check out the trailer below:
