Are the 95th Academy Awards streaming on Peacock? (Where to watch)
By Sandy C.
It’s that time of the year again, the most prestigious award ceremony in the film industry, the Academy Awards. Now, despite the huge honor it is to receive an Oscar, I can’t say it’s very popular among viewers. In fact, ratings have been declining over the past several years. But, if you do plan on watching the 95th Academy Awards, here’s where you can.
This year’s ceremony happens tonight, March 12, at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. The 95th Academy Awards will be hosted by comedian and late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. This is Kimmel’s third time hosting the Oscars. Kimmel hosted back-to-back years in 2017 and 2018, hosting the 89th and the 90th Academy Awards.
What time is the 95th Academy Awards starting?
The ceremony will start at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and will run for approximately three hours, wrapping up at 11 p.m. ET. However, the pre-show kicks off at 6 p.m. ET where we’ll see the stars walk the red carpet. Don’t have cable? Not a problem, you can still watch the Oscars tonight by streaming it via the service you replaced cable with, such as fuboTV.
Are the 95th Academy Awards streaming on Peacock?
Don’t have fuboTV or a similar service? Or maybe watching the Oscars is simply more convenient via a streamer such as Peacock. But are the Oscars going to be available on Peacock? No. While Peacock does have plenty of TV network shows available to watch, as well as original programming, the Oscars is not one of these as they air on ABC, which is a Disney property and not Peacock.
Where can you stream the Oscars?
Instead of finding the Oscars on Peacock, you can stream the ceremony on Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV or, as mentioned above, fuboTV. If you don’t have access to any of these you can sign up for a free trial.
