Awards shows are always a fun time! Whether it’s the Grammys for music, the Golden Globes for film and television, and of course one of the most prestigious ceremonies – the Oscars! And tonight, the 2023 Academy Awards are finally upon us.
We’re definitely looking forward to all the wins for our favorite stars and movies, but we’ve also got some special performances happening! Those include a number of 2023 Oscar-nominated scores like “This Is A Life” from Everything Everywhere All At Once, “Applause” from Tell It Like a Woman, and “Naatu Naatu” from RRR.
One we’re super excited about is none other than Rihanna! Following her return to the stage after seven years at the Super Bowl Halftime Show earlier this year, the iconic singer will be performing at the awards ceremony as well. Rihanna is belting out the Oscar-nominated “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
There’s so much to look forward to this evening! So how much time do you need to set aside to make sure you catch everything? We’ve got the answer for you below!
How long is the Academy Awards tonight? (March 12, 2023)
The 95th Academy Awards will be a total of three hours long. The show starts at 8 p.m. ET and will go on until 11 p.m. ET tonight, Sunday, March 12, 2023 on ABC. It’s great that there’s going to be so many musical performances during that time. We have a long sitting ahead of us!
The live ceremony is hosted by Jimmy Kimmel at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. If you rely on Hulu + Live TV to watch ABC, you’ll want to check ahead of time if you still have access to the network. ABC’s distribution rights are owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group in some U.S. cities. And recently, the two companies were not able to come to a distribution agreement. This has resulted in Hulu removing access to ABC on Hulu + Live TV. However, the Academy Awards will be available to stream on Hulu itself the next day on Monday.
The 95th Academy Awards air Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. You can check out a full list of this year’s nominees on the Oscars website.
