Will Laura Bailey be in The Last of Us season 2? (Who does she play in season 1?)
By Sabrina Reed
The Last of Us came to a stunning conclusion as Joel took drastic measures to ensure that his surrogate daughter, Ellie, wasn’t sacrificed for the greater good. She’s immune to the cordyceps and the Fireflies were able to track down a doctor who could derive a cure, but it would require her to die. Joel’s actions are going to be the catalyst for the events that take place in The Last of Us season 2.
As the hit HBO series settles into its hiatus, fans are beginning to wonder who will be in the second season and if more of the game’s voice actors they didn’t see (or at least didn’t spot) will be in the upcoming season. One such actor is Laura Bailey, the voice of Abby from The Last of Us Part II. While we won’t spoil who that is, we can say she’s integral to the plot.
Bailey, however, was in the first season of the show. But you may not have recognized her because of the mask she was wearing. Bailey played one of the nurses in the operating room that witnessed Joel killing the doctor to save Ellie. He left them both alive. But will that small cameo be all we see of the actress in The Last of Us series? Here’s what we know!
Will Laura Bailey be in The Last of Us season 2?
EW reports showrunners Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin haven’t ruled out Bailey making a return for a guest star appearance in The Last of Us season 2. So, we’ll have to wait and see.
"“Maybe we’ll do something else with her in the next season,” Druckmann said of Bailey.“I mean, she’s got a mask on, so we can make her anything we want in the next season,” Mazin agreed."
