March Madness 2023 started on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, with the First Four games from Dayton, Ohio. We shared the full schedule for the NCAA Tournament, starting with the First Four games.

  • First Four: Tuesday and Wednesday, March 14-15
  • First Round: Thursday and Friday, March 16-17
  • Second Round: Saturday and Sunday, March 18-19
  • Sweet 16: Thursday and Friday, March 23-24
  • Elite 8: Saturday and Sunday, March 25-26
  • Final 4: Saturday, April 1
  • National Championship: Monday, April 3

How to watch March Madness with cable

If you have cable or satellite, it’s super easy to watch March Madness. All the games will be broadcast on CBS, TBS, TNT, or TruTV. Most cable or satellite packages include CBS, TBS, and TNT. Sometimes you have to pay a little extra to get TruTV, but all of that is determined on a regional level. So, if you don’t have access to TruTV, you should try to get it before the games get rolling on Thursday, March 16.

How to watch March Madness without cable

If you don’t have cable or satellite, it’s a little bit more complicated, but it’s not that hard to watch. You just might have to subscribe to a few streaming services to make it happen.

The cheapest option appears to be SlingTV Blue and Paramount Plus Premium, which is about $50 per month, but there are some offers available to make it cheaper.

Is there a way to watch March Madness games for free?

Unless something changes in the next few days, no, there is no way to watch March Madness games for free. You need to subscribe to a live-streaming service. The prices and what is offered vary between the streaming service, but a lot of streaming services have free trials, so you can always cancel after your team loses or if you’re not interested in continuing to watch.
