What is the Netflix series Beef about?

Beef revolves around an incident of road rage and how it slowly consumes the two people involved, Amy Lau and Donny Cho. Both characters, who start off as strangers, are going through their own version of a mid-life crisis.

For Amy, it seems as if she has her life all figured out. She has a husband, kids, and a beautiful home — she can’t help but feel there’s something deeply important missing in her life that her family can’t fix. While Danny, an aimless contractor in financial despair, is trying to figure out how this incident is going to affect his life.

Both are becoming more and more unhinged in their own right. Will they be able to resolve their own issues and “bury the hatchet” or is this a story with a not-so-savory ending?
