Daredevil: Born Again is the highly anticipated Daredevil revival coming to Disney+ in 2024. Fans of Charlie Cox’s iteration of Matt Murdock and the devil of Hell’s Kitchen have been waiting for a full length installment of the character’s story since his run on Netflix ended in 2018.

Over half a decade will have passed by the time he makes a return in his own series, but the hope is that the wait will have been worth it. Fans can expect a bumped up episode count with a total of 18 episodes making their way to the streamer next year. The big question, beyond the plot of the revival, is who from the former Netflix original series (and its shared universe) will appear or star in this new leg of Matt’s tale.

Here’s what we know about the show’s casting announcements so far including who won’t be returning for the revival.

Daredevil: Born Again cast

As mentioned above, Cox will be donning the red suit once more. Vincent D’Onofrio has signed on to reprise the role of Wilson Fisk also known as Kingpin. Jon Bernthal has confirmed that he will be playing Frank Castle aka the fan favorite character The Punisher.

However, there’s been no word yet if Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson will return as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, respectively. Woll has indicated an interest in stepping back into Ms. Page’s shoes. Rosario Dawson has also asserted she’d love to return as Claire Temple if the opportunity arose.

As for cast additions, TVLine reports Sandrine Holt is set to take over the role of Vanessa, who’d been played by Ayelet Zurer in the former Netflix series. Michael Gandolfini and Margarita Levieva have also signed on in undisclosed roles. We’ll keep you posted as more news comes in about Daredevil: Born Again.
