Apple TV+’s hit dark comedy series Physical, which stars actress Rose Byrne, was renewed for season 3 and we are still waiting to learn more about what will happen. Physical first aired on the streaming platform in 2021 and stars Rose Byrne as Sheila Rubin, a housewife in the ‘80’s who is going through much inner turmoil.

But when she discover aerobics, it leads her down a path to find success in the fitness industry.

Since the season 2 finale in 2022, there has not been much information about when the series will debut its third season. But in a recent article, it was hinted that the show would be returning very soon.

While we do not know the exact date for the third season premiere, we do know it is expected to return later in 2023.

Along with returning cast members Rose Byrne and Rory Scovel, we’ll also see Paul Sparks and Dierdre Friel reprise their respective roles in the show. In addition, Zooey Deschanel has been cast as Katie, a former sitcom actor who is looking to move into the fitness industry.

Other cast members include Paul Sparks, Della Saba, and Lou Taylor Pucci.

Physical season 3 synopsis

There is not much information yet on what will happen in the third season. The main synopsis for the series talks about the setting as “the beachy paradise of sunny 1980s San Diego and follows Sheila Rubin, a quietly tortured, seemingly dutiful housewife supporting her smart but controversial bid for state assembly.”

By the time the second season rolled around, Sheila had begun to fall for someone else while also facing new competition in her attempt to make a success in the fitness world. So we’re sure to see all of this come to a head in the third season.
