The Young and the Restless is celebrating 50 years on air this year, and the soap is doing it in style. Between fan favorites making a return to an in-universe bicentennial celebration, viewers have been enjoying the well deserved honoring of this CBS daytime programming, its stars, history, and place in the lives of multiple generations.
While the soap’s actors have been making appearances on The Talk to discuss this momentous occasion, that’s not the only program that’ll be paying tribute to The Young and the Restless on the network. Entertainment Tonight is conducting a special focused on the soap’s anniversary and it’s happening tonight. Here’s what we know!
What time is the Young and the Restless Entertainment Tonight special?
Officially titled, The Young and the Restless 50th Anniversary Celebration: An Entertainment Tonight Special, the event will air at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and will be available live and on-demand on Paramount+.
The special is set to run for an hour. During that time, ET will be broadcasting from the soap’s set with host Nischelle Turner conducting interviews with fan favorite cast members. Viewers can expect a look back at footage and interviews featuring Young and the Restless cast members from over the past 50 years as well as never-before-seen moments from ET’s vault.
If you’re a fan who’s wanted to get a behind-the-scenes look at the studio, that’s also set to happen during the special as a tour is a part of the program which will also give viewers a look at the soap’s wardrobe collection.
You can anticipate deep dives in the soap’s most epic storylines from romances and feuds to rivalries and weddings. Young and the Restless has launched the careers of some famous actors and its had its fair share of groundbreaking pop culture moments.
The special will also honor Jeanne Cooper and Kristoff St. John with remembrances that speak to their time on the soap, their beloved characters, and the family they made as members of this historic soap opera.
