Riverdale season 7 is primed to tell one more bonkers story before the hit CW series comes to an end. Just how bonkers is the show getting in its final run?

Well, we’re returning to the plot where these beloved characters have been transported to 1955 and are living their days out as teenagers attending Riverdale High. Only Jughead remembers that they’re actually from the future and are adults who were combating an evil magic wielder and a comet that would set off an extinction level event.

His friends, however, are trying to navigate love, attraction, and figuring themselves out. Their personal issues and their drive for change (as seen in the storyline about reporting on the murder of Emmett Till) are what’s on their minds. Jughead is going to have a time trying to get them back to their own reality, but he has no other choice.

Riverdale season 7 release schedule

The series will air Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW starting March 29. Season 7 has a total of 20 episodes. As such fans can anticipate watching the show well into the summer. The finale is set to air on August 23 which leaves room for one to two breaks as the season airs.

The schedule so far:

  • Episode 1: Chapter One Hundred Eighteen: Don’t Worry Darling – March 29
  • Episode 2: Chapter One Hundred Nineteen: Skip, Hop and Thump! – April 5
  • Episode 3: Chapter One Hundred Twenty: Sex Education – April 12
  • Episode 20 (season finale) – August 23

When does Riverdale season 7 come out on Netflix?

International Netflix subscribers will be able to stream new episodes of the season on Thursdays. U.S. users of the platform will have to wait until the season finishes airing to binge it. With the finale premiering on Aug. 23, season 7 will likely land on Netflix Aug. 31 or in September. We’ll keep you posted.
