Sheila succumbed to complications from her heart attack today on The Bold and the Beautiful, or at least, that’s what it looked like. When Bill confronted her in the back alley of Il Giardino, he’d asserted she’d be going away for good, but she insisted that she wouldn’t be. Her health, however, was clearly flagging as she was perspiring and clutching her chest.

When she fell out, Bill didn’t believe that she was actually suffering a medical emergency and neither did Ridge when he walked in on the scene with Deacon and the cops. Baker arrested Sheila while she was unconscious and Deacon looked on worried, but he went off with Ridge and Bill when they mentioned celebrating Sheila’s arrest.

But, while they were gleefully sipping their beers, Deacon looked guilty and uncomfortable despite joining in on Ridge’s toast. Apparently, Deacon had been a part of this scheme all along. He was blackmailed into it by the two. Either he helped them take Sheila down or Bill would ensure he went back to jail, this time for harboring a fugitive since the infamous woman had been hiding from the authorities when this whole plot started.

What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Ridge and Bill both swore that they wouldn’t say anything to anyone about Deacon’s involvement with Sheila or the investigation and that includes Brooke and Hope. The whole reason why Deacon did this was so he wouldn’t lose his daughter, but the guilt over his actions is likely to eat at him for quite some time especially since Sheila was taken to the hospital and he does love her.

She arrived, still unconscious, and Li was put on her case. The good doctor hadn’t been aware that the woman who nearly killed her had been placed in her care but as soon as she did it was obvious that the Hippocratic Oath was going to go right out the window. Had Finn not been informed that his mom had been put in charge of Sheila’s medical care at the hospital, Li’s plan to let her die might have gone unnoticed.

He and Steffy had been stealing some alone time in the waiting room when a nurse came to tell him that Li knows the patient who’d been brought in by the police. As soon as the couple learned it was Sheila they took off to the Emergency Care Unit. There they found Li watching Sheila. Finn checked her vitals and noticed that his biological mother wasn’t in good shape but the mother who raised him had no intention on helping her.

As she put it, they should let Sheila die. She’s done so much to their family. Finn, however, looked taken back and though he didn’t move to act when Sheila flatlined he didn’t look like he was going to just let her give up the ghost either. The nurse came in ready to jump start Sheila’s heart but with no guidance from either doctor, she was left to wait for direction. Meanwhile, Steffy was in the room looking conflicted and aghast.

At Forrester Mansion, most of the family had gathered thanks to Ridge’s cryptic message. Eric, Donna, Brooke, Taylor, Stephen, Lucy, Katie, and Carter awaited word for why they’d been called. When Ridge arrived, he mainly had eyes for Taylor and Brooke, and he expressed that he had missed them both.

This set Brooke’s father Stephen off on an angry rant about how Ridge treated his daughter and that he’d abandoned his family in their time of need. Ridge let him go on for a bit but when Bill came into the house, the whole room erupted in protest. They each had a turn telling the billionaire to go, but Ridge eventually cut them off to explain that because of Bill, they wouldn’t have to worry about Sheila anymore.

In true soap fashion, we didn’t get to see Ridge tell his family about the sting operation he and Bill were involved in because we’ve got to leave that reveal (which we’re already aware of) until next week. Until then, Bold fans, stay beautiful!
