Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies premiered Thursday, Apr. 6 on Paramount+. The spin-off prequel series takes viewers to Rydell High before the iconic girl gang formed. It serves as an origin story for them as Jane, Olivia, Cynthia, and Nancy make a name for themselves and work to create more space for misfits and outcasts at the school.
Each episode is jam packed with music and dance numbers that support and compliment the story being told as these girls defy expectations. Joined by the T-Birds, they create noise when they’re told to be silent and are determined to change the status quo.
The main cast of Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies is predominately made up of newcomers, however, there are a few familiar faces that some viewers may recognize. If you’re wondering about the ages of the actors in the series, here’s what we know about their birthdays as well as their filmography.

Marisa Davila age
Born: April 24, 1997
Davila plays “Brainy Janie” in the middle of teen angst, but the actress will be turning 26 this month. Prior to stepping into Jane’s bobby socks, her most prominent roles were in Super Giant Robot Brothers and My Big Fat Blonde Musical. Davila is also a producer and director.
Cheyenne Isabel Wells age
Born: Aug. 17, 1997
Wells’ portrayal of Olivia is her first breakout television role. She’s 25 and will celebrate her 26th birthday in late summer.
Ari Notartomaso age
Born: Unknown
Notartomaso is in their 20s. The actor’s voice has been blowing away audiences since college. Their role as Cynthia, however, is their first TV musical appearance. Prior to Rise of the Pink Ladies, they played Cara in Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin.
Tricia Fukuhara age
Born: March 30, 1991
For the series, Tricia embodies the budding teen designer, Nancy, but in real life she’s 32 years old. Prior to her casting, she’d played minor roles in film and TV. She starred as Flower Pop in Super Pops, The K Pops, and The Rap Pops.
Johnathan Nieves age
Born: Unknown
Nieves is in his 20s. He plays the ever cool, Richie, the leader of the T-Birds. If the actor looks familiar you may be remembering his time on Penny Dreadful: City of Angels as Mateo Vega.
Jason Schmidt age
Born: Unknown.
Schmidt is likely in his 20s. His portrayal of Buddy is his first in a starring role. He was featured in an episode of FBI: Most Wanted in 2021.
Shanel Bailey age
Born: Nov. 21, 1997
Like many of the younger cast of the series, Bailey’s turn as Hazel is a breakout role for her. She’s had one episode features on That Damn Michael Che, The Good Fight, and The Equalizer. Bailey will turn 26 this year.
Madison Thompson age
Born: August 13, 2000
The 22 year old Thompson plays mean girl Susan. For viewers who’ve tuned into Boo, Bitch, Ozark, the film Emergency, or The Young and the Restless, the actress may look familiar. She’ll be 23 in the late summer.
Josette Halpert age
Born: June 8, 1994
As Dot, Halpert is a younger member of teens that make up the cast, but in real life she’s 28 years old and will turn 29 in June. Her most prominent roles before Rise of the Pink Ladies were as Sydney Allen on Ghostwriter, the voice of Pixie on Go Away, Unicorn!, and Hailey Grimm on The Other Kingdom.
Jackie Hoffman age
Born: Nov. 29, 1960
Hoffman, who plays Assistant Principal McGee, will be 63 in November. She’s starred in Only Murders in the Building, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and The Politician.
