Ark One had a mission to get to a particular planet thought to be able to support life. Did the ship make it in The Ark Season 1 finale?

Ark One started off with just figuring out a way to survive. Throughout the series, they had to deal with other problems that threatened survival, and then they found out what really happened to them. Ark Fifteen had attacked them, with Maddox deciding that she and her crew were the only ones worthy of getting to the planet to restart humanity.

Well, Ark One wasn’t going down without a fight. They had already been through so much, and they weren’t just going to give up because of one woman. The planet was big enough for everyone.

With the offer of the Klampkin’s cure for Maddox, Ark One got Lt. Lane back and there was the promise of a ceasefire. They could both land on the planet once William Trust got the planet rotating.

Trust had other plans, though. He managed to set things up so Ark Fifteen was pulled toward the planet. All of Ark Fifteen’s navigational systems went down, meaning that it would crash and kill everyone on board. Sharon and others managed to stop that from happening, making it clear that they would not risk innocent people on the other ship for the sake of Trust’s vendetta against Maddox.

Once the planet was rotating, Alicia and Angus’s realization that the water didn’t freeze on the colder side meant something important. The “water” wasn’t water at all.

In the end, the planet exploded. Debris hit Ark One, causing massive damage to the point where the entire Bridge is separated from the rest of the ship. We have no idea if everyone outside of the Bridge survived. Sharon had to ask Maddox for help, but would she decide that Ark One wasn’t saving?

Sharon choosing to save Ark Fifteen turned out to be a good thing. Ark Fifteen then agreed to send shuttles to save those onboard and figure out who was still alive. That’s where we’ll pick up in The Ark Season 2.
