The King Charles coronation takes place on Saturday, May 6. It may be a UK event, but this is something for the whole world to watch.

The last coronation happened on June 2, 1953. Very few people will be able to say they watched it and remember it. The King Charles coronation is something that the whole world will stop and watch. Whatever you think of the Royal Family, there is something about this whole event that will have people tuning in.

Now you just need to know where you can watch it. Which channel will host the event? It turns out you’ll have a lot of choice in the United States.

Where to watch the King Charles coronation

The event is going to air on every single network in the United States. Well, all the big broadcast networks at the very least. You can watch it on ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. That’s not really surprising when you consider just how big this event it. All the networks stop programming when it’s something big for U.S. politics, too.

The coronation coverage will run from 5 a.m. ET to 10 a.m. ET. This is a live event, so you’ll have to work out your own time zones. The coverage is based on the UK time of 10 a.m. (although there will be some earlier coverage).

Also unsurprising is PBS airing a special. This special starts at 2:30 a.m. ET to cover some of the earlier coverage that the UK is offering.

BBC America will also have coverage starting at 6 a.m. ET. Again, it’s not surprising considering it’s the BBC in the UK airing its coverage.

What about on streaming? You’ll want BritBox for that. You’ll be able to watch the coronation live with various coverage available, including Britain’s own coverage. This will all be available to stream whenever you want afterward in case you just can’t wake up for it live. There are also specials currently available to stream to mark this special occasion, including Countdown to the Crown: The Who’s Who and What’s What of the Coronation.
