How long is the King Charles coronation?

King Charles’ coronation is the event many have been waiting to see all year, as not only will audiences observe the royal officially receive his decorated crown but audiences will also get a chance to watch some of their favorite artists put on performances that are sure to go down in history. Additionally, the outfits and vestments worn by those attending will leave some speechless, so if you’ve loved watching A-listers walking the red carpet at the Met Gala 2023, we think you will love this coronation even more.
All in all, this is an event you don’t want to miss. But when can you tune into the historic event? And, more importantly, how long will the event be?

How long King Charles’ coronation be?
According to CNN, King Charles III’s coronation will start on Saturday, May 6, at 11:00 a.m. in London, United Kingdom (6:00 a.m. for those in the East Coast) and will last approximately two hours. During this time, you will witness multiple events, including (but not limited to) the King’s prayer, the receiving of the Coronation Bible, and, everyone’s favorite, the journey from Buckingham Palace to Westminster where the King will officially receive his crown.

Where to watch King Charles’ coronation
For those in the United States, you can begin watching live coronation coverage on CBS starting at 5:00 a.m. ET. You can also watch on CNN, ABC, and FOX at the same time. (Those who prefer to watch the coronation on-the-go, you can do so on Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter.) Outside of the United States, you have the option to watch with your local CNN International channel.
