Knights of the Zodiac cast: Who stars in the action drama?

For those who are fans of the Japanese manga series Saint Seiya, a new live action version of the 1980’s manga will be in theaters soon! The manga was both written and illustrated by Masami Kurumada and follows a group of warriors with mystical abilities. With the news of a live action film debuting, who is among the Knights of the Zodiac cast?

Knights of the Zodiac is an upcoming film based on the manga Saint Seiya. The film follows an orphan, known as Saint Seiya, who finds that a goddess of war reincarnated into his body. The manga spawned multiple series in this universe and this will be the first time it is seen in live action form.

He discovers magical powers he was previously unaware of and must embrace his destiny to be part of the Knights of the Zodiac along with other warriors. The manga series follows a group of teens who have magical cloths that give them abilities to protect the goddess Athena.

Seiya is played by Mackenyu, who is recruited to protect Madison Iseman’s Sienna, who is now the reincarnated version of Athena. Another familiar face is Sean Bean, who plays Alman Kido and is the one who recruits Seiya.

The film has been released in Japan as of April 28, 2023. It will be available in theaters in the U.S. on May 12, 2023.

Toei Animation produced the film and it’s directed by Tomasz Baginski. Executive producers include Jeffrey Chan, Rick Nathanson, Katsuhiro Takagi, and Kozo Morishita.
