Jensen Ackles and The Winchesters cast kick off #SaveTheWinchesters campaign

#SaveTheWinchesters. That’s what everyone involved in The Winchesters wants you to tweet about to find the show a new home.

It was just hours after the cancellation of The Winchesters that the cast got together to put together something to help save the series. Meg Donnelly, Drake Rodger,  Nida Khurshid, and Jojo Fleites took to their cameras to share the campaign with the fans.

They weren’t alone, either. Jensen Ackles tweeted the video to make sure the SPN Family can rally behind this campaign. It isn’t completely in vain as the show is being aggressively shopped around. It’s just going to take a lot of noise to get it saved.

We have seen shows saved in the past. Look at Lucifer, Manifest, The Expanse, and even SWAT was un-canceled this year due to fan support. Is it possible to get another show saved?

Where could The Winchesters find a new home?

Jensen Ackles currently has an overall deal with Amazon. With that in mind, it looks like that would be the most obvious place for the new home. This is also the home of Eric Kripke’s The Boys, and we all know if it wasn’t for Kripke, we wouldn’t have Supernatural in the first place.

Of course, this show doesn’t really seem to fit Amazon’s platform when you look at other shows. The closest we’ve probably got to The Winchesters is The Power, which focuses on girls getting the ability to control electricity. Carnival Row is a fantasy series, but it is higher fantasy than this one and serves a different audience. Good Omens is probably the closes in the fantasy shows.

If Amazon doesn’t become the new home, how about Paramount+ or HBO Max? CBS Studios and Warner Bros. Studios are both involved in the production of the Supernatural spin-off, so putting it on a streamer that the heads of these studios own could work well.
