For CBS, cancellation season has come to an end. The network has made its final choices for what shows will be returning and which have been dropped from their line-up. It should come as no surprise to Fire Country, So Help Me Todd, and Ghosts fans that the series will be debuting new seasons during the 2023-2024 television year. All three programs have been must-watch series on the network that have garnered loyal fanbases who tune in week-to-week.

Also returning are the FBI series, The Equalizer, and Young Sheldon though that news has been out for awhile considering the shows were picked up for multiple season renewals back in 2021 and 2022. As for the NCIS franchise, while the flagship and Hawaii iterations are moving forward, fans will have to bid farewell to the Los Angeles edition as news broke in the middle of its season 14 run that the season will be its last.

The programs most on viewers minds were long running series like Blue Bloods and S.W.A.T. which had been hanging in renewal/cancellation limbo with contract negotiations going on. While Blue Bloods had gotten the greenlight for a season 14, S.W.A.T. had initially been canceled by CBS before fan backlash got the network to bring the series back for a seventh season which will serve as the show’s final one.
