911 Season 7 will not premiere on ABC in May 2023
All eyes are on the return of 911, which is going to happen on ABC instead of FOX. When will 911 Season 7 premiere on its new home?
The 118 is on the move. After last night’s epic Season 6 finale, the show will no longer air on FOX. Due to financial reasons, the series is making a move from FOX to ABC. It’s going to feel a little weird, especially with 911 Lone Star remaining on FOX, but we’ll get used to it.
The bad news is we have to wait to see the series on its new home. This is not a show that will air any more new episodes in May 2023. The previous episode was the season finale, and now we’re into the summer break.
When will 911 Season 7 premiere on ABC?
ABC hasn’t yet released it’s fall schedule. That’s set to happen today, Tuesday, May 16. We’ll get an idea then as to whether we’ll see the show in the fall or not. If it was still on FOX, we’d say it would still be a fall show. Could ABC be worried about the ratings, or will it take over that Thursday night time slot after Grey’s Anatomy to see if it can give the time slot a boost? There’s also the Wednesday 10 p.m. ET/PT time slot, which is usually tricky but could get a boost from this series.
If the series is part of the fall lineup, we’d usually say it would get a September premiere date. We wouldn’t get the premiere dates until June or July at the earliest. The problem this year is the WGA writers strike and the potential SAG strike that could happen next month. These strikes could push everything back, meaning we don’t get new episodes until later in the year or even into the midseason.
