It’s finally time to take a bite out of comedy again. FX’s wild What We Do in the Shadows has finally announced its release date for Season 5. So when does the nutty vampire comedy return?

Based on the 2014 movie by Taika Waititi, What We Do in the Shadows is a mockumentary on a pack of bumbling vampires living in Staten Island: Bloodthirsty warrior Nandor (Kayvan Novak), nobleman Laszlo (Matt Berry), quirky Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) and “emotional vampire” Colin Robinson (Mark Prosch). With them is human “familiar” Guillermo (Harvey Guillen), who’s smarter and more capable than all four vampires combined.

The series has become a success with its wild humor, focusing on the vampires handling modern life while Guillermo ended up becoming a vampire hunter. The Season 4 finale had Colin Robinson, having spent the year trapped in a “maturing” form, finally back to his old self.

Meanwhile, upset over Nandor’s refusal to turn him into a vampire, Guillermo took a batch of money he’d saved over the years to try and bribe another vampire into turning him. That will no doubt lead into the Season 5 premiere.
