It’s sadly the end of the road tonight for CBS’ True Lies as it closes out its first and only season. At least it’ll be going out with a bang with a big two-hour finale that should send the characters off in style. What time does it air on CBS tonight, May 17?

Based on the 1994 James Cameron movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis, True Lies focuses on Harry Tasker (Steve Howey) and wife Helen (Ginger Gonzaga), a typical suburban couple raising two children. Helen felt a bit bored by her husband, a simple computer salesman, and a dull life.

During a trip to Paris, Helen was shocked to discover the truth: For two decades, Harry has been an operative for Omega Sector, a top-secret spy agency of the U.S. government. Helen soon joins him as an agent as the pair balance going around the world on dangerous missions with raising their family.

The show captured the movie’s feel of action and comedy as the Taskers will often debate marital issues or minor life problems amid saving the world. The series co-stars Mike O’Gorman, Omar Miller and Erica Hernandez.

Sadly, the series never caught on with viewers, and CBS already announced its cancellation last week. So when does the big two-hour finale for True Lies air on CBS?

How long is the True Lies finale?

The finale will actually be two episodes back to back. First, in “Lying Truths,” the team has their van of high-tech equipment stolen and turns to aid from Max, a teenage hacker they helped in an earlier episode. However, Harry and Helen are thrown to find Max is dating their daughter Dana and worry this will expose their kids to their spy lives.

Then, in “Waking Dreams,” an agent is captured and leads Harry and Helen on a wild search to find them. It all begins at 9/8c on CBS and will be streaming on Paramount+.

It’s a disappointment for fans of True Lies that the series is coming to an early end, but it promises to at least be a dramatic one to close out its only season.
