Is a new episode of 911 on FOX tonight (May 22, 2023)

We’re ready to see the 118 back in action, but there’s a wait on our hands. When will a new episode of 911 air on FOX? What’s going on with the schedule?

That’s right; there is not a new episode of 911 tonight, Monday, May 22. The previous episode was the Season 6 finale, so there isn’t a new episode of the series for a while.

The really bad news is that the finale was the last episode on FOX. Don’t worry; the show hasn’t been canceled outright. This is a series where the save happened behind the scenes as networks discussed the best plan forward for this great series. After all, it’s clear that it was wanted by the fans, but it was a financial burden to FOX.

When will 911 Season 7 premiere?

This is a 21st Century Studios production. When FOX used to own the studio, the series made a lot of financial sense. In fact, if the network still owned the studio, the series would have remained on FOX. FOX just doesn’t get the financial gain from it, so the cost doesn’t make sense. And this is one hell of an expensive series.

So, ABC is stepping in. This network does now own 21st Century Studios. Well, Disney does, and Disney owns ABC too. It makes more sense on the network saving the series. It all happened behind closed doors so we didn’t get the panic at the time of the news.

It’s hard to say when the series will definitely return at this point, though. The writers strike is still going, and that is getting to the point where it will start pushing back production. If the writers don’t return in June, the work on the scripts is going to be pushed back and that affects everything else.
