Platonic cast: Who stars in the Apple TV+ comedy series?
Ready for a new comedy series? We sure are! Lucky for us, new show Platonic is now streaming on Apple TV+. Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne take on the lead roles. Who else joins the stars onscreen?
The television production premiered with the first three episodes on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Going forward, you can expect to see one new installment released weekly on the streaming service. The finale is scheduled for Wednesday, July 12, 2023. There’s a total of 10, half-hour episodes.
The comedy series follows two best friends, Will (Rogen) and Sylvia (Byrne) who have just recently started hanging out once again after “a long rift,” per the synopsis. What could have pulled them apart? Will’s divorce encourages Sylvia to reach out. With the two approaching midlife, they may be going through a midlife crisis in a “hilarious way” with all sorts of shenanigans.

Rogen started getting leading roles in comedy films with 2004 movie Knocked Up. He’s also been in Neighbors and more dramatic productions like The Fabelmans. He’s also provided voiceover work with The Lion King and The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The actor is set to star, write, direct, and executive produce another untitled Apple TV+ comedy as well.
Get Him to the Greek, Bridesmaids, and Instant Family are some of the films that helped establish Byrne as a comedic actress. You may recognize her as the lead from the streaming service’s show Physical, which debuts its third and final season on Aug. 2, 2023, Deadline shares.
Platonic also stars Luke Macfarlane, who is known for playing Scotty Wandell on Brothers & Sisters on ABC, as well as a number of Hallmark movies. We provided the full cast list below:
