The Little Mermaid (2023) cast: Who stars in the Disney movie?
Halle Bailey’s Ariel is set to dazzle in the live-action The Little Mermaid, which premieres Friday, March 26. The anticipated film, which will see the animated classic brought to life in a colorful fantasy adventure, follows the story that fans have adored since 1989. However, it’s also been updated for the modern age with more focus on Ariel’s desire to explore the world above outside of her attraction and affinity for Prince Eric.
Audiences should be prepared for raucous fun as well as story elements involving understanding one’s self, differences, and their place in the world. Also expect laughter as Ariel’s friends–Flounder, Sebastian, and Scuttle–try to help her throughout the movie and thwart Ursula’s efforts to bring Ariel under her control.
The Little Mermaid has long been a story about a young woman’s mission to see a world beyond her own and to have a life outside of the one she was born into despite how her father, King Triton, may feel about it. Who’s a part of the live-action cast besides Bailey? Here’s what we know!
