It’s time for another big finale for Survivor. Season 44 is going to have a big showdown to decide who gets the $1 million prize, but what time can viewers check it out on CBS? Find out here!

Season 44 kicked off with the 18 contestants divided into three tribes, Ratu, Soka and Tika. They spent the weeks on the Manumaca Islands in Fiji, going through the usual games and challenges of the competition. The tribes were soon merged into the Va Va tribe to continue to whittle players down.

Going into the finale, five contestants remain to be judged by a jury of eliminated players:

  • Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho
  • Carolyn Wiger
  • Carson Garrett
  • Heidi Lagares-Greenblatt
  • Lauren Harpe

Each has a good chance to win, with Arocho and Wiger seen as the favorites, thanks to how well they’ve been playing the game. There will be two more Immunity Challenges, a fire-making challenge, and another vote out to cut it down to just three. From there, it’s a final vote to decide who wins this installment of Survivor and the big prize.

What time is the Survivor finale?

The big three-hour event will dominate CBS tonight as it begins at 8/7c. Given the number of special challenges involved and a recap of the season, it needs this extra time to make it all work.

Thankfully, Survivor will be back in the fall, as it won’t be affected by the ongoing Writer’s Guild of America strike. In fact, CBS will be expanding it to 90-minute episodes in anticipation of needing more air time to fill.

At least fans can expect a terrific finale that wraps up a wild season in a huge three-hour show crowning a new Survivor winner.

Survivor season 44 finale airs Wednesday, May 24, at 8/7c on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
