While Disney+ has become a hub for new and exciting content, things are looking a bit sad this week.

By now, most Disney+ subscribers know the platform is removing some content. Of course, most of it is original content. That’s even more frustrating because where is it going? Either way, the train keeps on moving.

The streaming service added more new shows and movies this week so there’s always something to look forward to. Even if some favorites were removed, maybe you’ll be able to find something new to enjoy this weekend.

Regardless, there is at least one exciting original coming this week and one I feel like could end up being a lot of people’s favorites over Memorial Day weekend.

New on Disney+

As you might imagine, Disney is betting on the fact that most of us are having a chill Memorial Day weekend and plan on spending some time enjoying the AC. With that being said, let’s get into the releases from this past week.

  • A Small Light, two episodes (May 23)
  • American Born Chinese, All episodes streaming (May 24)
  • Chip’n’Dale: Park Life season 2, episodes 1-6 (May 24)
  • Kiff season 1 episodes (May 24)
  • Spidey and His Amazing Friends season 2 episodes (May 24)
  • Wild Life (May 26)

If you couldn’t tell, the major release from this week was easily American Born Chinese which features a star-studded cast and was based on a graphic novel by Gene Luen Yang. This series has been talked about for a while so it’s awesome to see it finally coming out to small screens. With all the hype the series has been getting, I’m sure it’ll be the perfect weekend watch.

Even if you’re not watching American Born Chinese, I feel like you can’t go wrong with either getting caught up on A Small Light or even putting on a few episodes of Kiff. Maybe it’s just to keep someone else occupied, but sometimes, that’s all that matters.
