America’s Got Talent season 18 is underway and family, friends, and curious viewers are gathering to tune into see who is set to take the stage to wow the judges, the studio audience, and those of us watching from home.

As most know, AGT isn’t a competition series that focuses on a single talent such as singing, which American Idol and The Voice cover, or dancing like So You Think You Can Dance. No, there is a variety of talent on display in the program including ventriloquism, dog training, magic, and more. Each season contestants vie for the top spot, the cash prize, and a victory they won’t ever forget.

Who’s won over the years since the show’s beginning in 2006? Here’s what we know. While you’ll find a good portion of winners are singers to start with, the list diversifies as the show ages and more people step into the spotlight to try their hand at winning the country’s favor. There’s even a spoken word poet who’s walked away a winner.
