Jack Ryan season 4: Release date, trailer, cast and what else to know
It’s the beginning of the end for Jack Ryan. Amazon Prime Video has dropped the trailer for the fourth and final season of the adaptation of the Tom Clancy character and puts Ryan (John Krasinski) on his most dangerous assignment yet.
Far and away the most popular character created by the late author, Jack Ryan has been played on film by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and Chris Pine. Prime Video crafted a TV series that played as a reboot, showing Ryan (Krasinski) going from a simple CIA analyst to a black ops soldier.
Season 3 ended with Ryan being promoted to CIA Acting Deputy Director. He now has to handle a deadly new conspiracy with possible links to the U.S.
What’s coming in Jack Ryan season 4?
The season seems to play on the best-selling Ryan book Clear and Present Danger (which was adapted into a 1994 movie). Ryan uncovers a connection between South American drug cartels and terrorist forces that can hit the U.S. as well.
As he investigates, Ryan finds a troubling connection to parts of the U.S. government and tests his faith in the system he’s wanted to protect.
Who stars in Jack Ryan season 4?
Besides Krasinski, also returning is Wendell Pierce as mentor James Greer, Michael Kelly as Mike November, Betty Gabriel as CIA Acting Director Elizabeth Wright, and Abbie Cornish as Cathy Mueller.
Joining the cast for the farewell run, meanwhile, are Michael Peña (Narcos: Mexico) as popular Ryan supporting character Domingo Chavez and Louis Ozawa (Hunters) as Chao Fah. There are rumors that Chavez might be eyed for a spin-off series and thus be given a good showcase.
When does Jack Ryan Season 4 air?
The final season premieres with two episodes on Friday, June 30 on Amazon Prime Video. New episodes will drop weekly with the finale on July 14.
It looks like a wild final ride as Ryan has to save the world once more and hopefully with some good style.
