We may not be getting a new season of Euphoria for long, long while, but HBO is giving us The Idol to satisfy our cravings. Will you be watching the Lily-Rose Depp series? Here’s everything you need to know about it, including The Idol episode release schedule.

Created by Abel Tesfaye (aka The Weeknd), Reza Fahim, and Sam Levinson, The Idol follows aspiring pop idol Jocelyn (Depp) who wants to become the sexiest pop star of her generation, and Tedros (Tesfaye), Jocelyn’s love interest and modern-day cult leader. The Idol also stars Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan, Moses Sumney, Jane Adams, Eli Roth and more. The HBO series also stars Anne Heche, who tragically passed away on Aug. 11, 2022. The drama is directed by Sam Levinson.

When do new episodes of The Idol come out?

HBO’s The Idol is set to feature six episodes, the first coming out on Sunday, June 4, at 9 p.m. ET. The premiere episode is titled “Pop Tarts & Rat Tales.” One episode will drop weekly on Sunday nights at the same time. Here’s the episode release schedule so you don’t miss out:

  • Episode 1 “Pop Tarts & Rat Tales,” June 4
  • Episode 2 “Double Fantasy,” June 11
  • Episode 3 “Daybreak,” June 18
  • Episode 4, June 25
  • Episode 5, July 2
  • Episode 6, July 9

As you can see, the episode titles to episodes 4-6 have not yet been released. We’ll update these as soon as we learn them! Each of these episodes will also be available to stream on Max at the same time as they arrive on HBO. This is great in case you aren’t able to watch right away. Just don’t wait too long to watch or you’ll risk bumping into spoilers online! When and where will you be watching?
