It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Who stars in Season 16?
It’s time to go back to Philly for another year of some of the worst people around. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is returning this week, and Season 16 looks to keep up the same nutty dark humor. So who stars in the new season?
For 15 seasons, fans have loved FX’s dark comedy of the gang at Paddy’s Pub in Philadelphia, embarking on some zany misadventures. Despite how this is a pack of selfish and destructive sociopaths, they’re oddly endearing, and viewers enjoy seeing what antics they get into.
Season 15 ended with the Gang taking a trip to Ireland that ended with them dropping Charlie’s dead father down a mountain. Mac was also still tempted to become a priest. Season 16 looks to up the ante as the Gang will tackle everything from inflation to gun control and likely cause even more chaos.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 16 cast
The core It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia cast remains the same: Charlie Day as goofball Charlie; Glenn Howerton as borderline sociopath Dennis; Kaitlin Olson as his flighty sister Dee; Rob McElhenney as would-be tough guy Mac; and Danny DeVito as Dennis and Dee’s conniving father, Frank.
Also, returning in recurring roles are Mary Elizabeth Ellis as the Waitress; Sandy Martin as Mac’s mom; Mary Lynn Rajskub as nutty Gail the Snail; Jimmi Simpson and Nate Mooney as the disturbing McPoyles; and David Hornsby as “Cricket” who will no doubt be put through even more misfortune by the Gang.
Some big guest stars will include Bryan Cranson and Aaron Paul as themselves when the Gang interferes with a promotional deal the Breaking Bad co-stars get into. It’s likely some other surprise appearances will come to make this another nutty year.
