The Crowded Room, starring Tom Holland and Amanda Seyfried, made its Apple TV+ debut on Friday, June 9. The psychological thriller centers on the story of Danny Sullivan, a young man who has been arrested for a shooting in New York City in 1979. He’s being interrogated by Rya Goodwin, an investigator who is trying to figure out what happened and why.

Over the course of ten episodes, the series intends on taking viewers on a ride as the mystery at the heart of the show unfolds and complicates the plot. Those who tune in can anticipate learning about Danny’s life as the son of a single mother, how he navigates the world around him, and how he attempts to find his place in it. The series will run through July, its finale will be available to stream on July 29.

As mentioned above, The Crowded Room takes place in New York City. However, we all know production magic can go a long way when it comes to convincingly portraying a famous locale that a show didn’t actually film in. Is that the case for this series? Here’s what we know!

Where was The Crowded Room filmed?

The Apple TV+ original was actually filmed in New York City! According to Distractify, production took place in the Big Apple and Westchester County. You’ll notice while watching the series that NBC Studios at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in Manhattan makes an appearance. The Bronx borough, Seaport, and the West Village are also featured in The Crowded Room.
