The heroes in a halfshell are back in movie theaters this week. But just how long is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem? Is it too long for little ones to sit through or is it just right? Find out here!

Since their creation almost 40 years ago, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been a hot property. Fans never get tired of this strange mix of martial arts, sci-fi, and superheroes, as the Turtles have succeeded in just about every form of media there is. They hit a height in the early 1990s with an animated series and some live-action movie hits. Two more live-action films were in the 2010s, and the property remains a hot one.

Now, they’re back in Mutant Mayhem. Written by longtime Turtles fan Seth Rogen, this new animated film is a reboot of the series and is notable for casting actual teenage actors as Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael. Martial arts movie icon Jackie Chan voices their mentor Splinter with other names, including Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman, John Cena as Rocksteady, Rose Byrne as Leatherhead, and Rogen himself as Bebop.

The movie looks to be a fun one with great animation and a fresher take on the Turtles, so just how long do moviegoers sit for it?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem running time

The movie officially clocks in at 100 minutes, this includes a mid-credits scene you are going to want to be seated for. That’s pretty standard for an animated movie and thus makes it a breezy but fun sit for families.

The film looks to be a terrific adventure for both classic TMNT fans and newbies, and the short running time still packs in plenty of action and comedy to make the return of the Turtles to the big screen a big deal.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is now playing in theaters everywhere.
