The time has come to say goodbye to Steffy on The Bold and the Beautiful…at least for now. She left Finn, again, this time for Europe. As she put it, she needs to get herself and the children as far away from Sheila as she can and that means flying to Rome. But she won’t be alone. Taylor is going to come along. Steffy thinks enrolling Kelly in an international school could be good for her, and the decision she’s making is the best option.

Finn, however, wasn’t invited. His connection to Sheila is a danger. No matter where he goes, his birth mother will follow. Steffy thought that the love she shares with her husband would be enough to over come this, but it’s not. She’s not willing to risk their children and so she’s fleeing the country even though, as she told Finn, he’s her heart.

With no way to convince her otherwise, Finn had to let his wife go but, while standing alone in their empty house, he vowed that he’d get them back. How he plans on “eliminating” Sheila is anyone’s guess. But that’s not the only issue he’s going to be contending with.

What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Steffy didn’t just leave town only saying goodbye to Finn. She stopped by Spencer Publications to let Liam know as well. He’d finished up his conversation with Wyatt about Steffy’s decision to go back home. He’d reiterated in it that though he did think her being away from her husband would give him the opportunity to get her to see him as a viable option again, his main concern was with keeping her safe. He loves her and that’s all he wants.

Liam told Steffy that himself when she came to tell him that she’s leaving. She asked him not to push her on it, she just really needs to go, but he said that he wouldn’t. He’s not going to stand in the way of what she needs to do to keep herself and the children safe. But he is going to miss her. They shared a teary goodbye and a hug as Liam even mentioned that he could come see her and Kelly so they don’t forget about him.

Obviously, when Steffy returns, the soap will be circling back to these two in some fashion. Especially since Sheila thinks this is the wedge she can use to drive Steffy and Finn apart. She was livid when she arrived back at Deacon’s house and explained what happened. It’s her belief that Steffy should show a bit of gratitude toward her since she did save her daughter but Deacon reminded her that she shot Steffy and left her for dead, so that’s not happening anytime soon.

He did provide a sympathetic ear though because Sheila is his friend and lover. He cares about her, even if that also means telling her when she’s being delusional. Sheila doesn’t think she is though. With Liam and Hope divorced (that’s news!), this leaves room for a Steam reunion.

Sheila doesn’t want to see her son heartbroken but if it means Steffy’s out of his life, she knows she can be there for him, besides Liam and Steffy once shared a deep love. Who’s to say that can’t come flooding back? After all, if Sheila doesn’t have to believe Finn told her to stay away because he meant it and not because his wife told him to, then that’s the option she’s going to choose.

It’ll be interesting to see where this all goes while Steffy is away especially since Deacon has been paid a visit twice by Ridge and Carter. Will that continue? Can we expect Liam and Finn to butt heads once again? Will Sheila meddle? So many possibilities.

Until next time, Bold fans. Stay beautiful!
