8 new Netflix movies and shows to watch this week (Sept. 11)

A real question, when is too soon to put up Christmas decorations? I ask because I see Christmas stuff being rolled out into stores and need to know if I can put up my tree. Like we do each and every week, we’re sharing all the new Netflix movies and shows debuting beginning the week of Sept. 11, 2023.

The fall season has arrived, and we are getting more and more content from Netflix. This week shows quite a range of content from a stand-up comedy special to a docuseries following wrestling to a movie from a widely loved director, there is a little something for everyone.

New Netflix movies and shows to watch this week

  • Michelle Wolf: It’s Great To Be Here, Sept. 12
  • Freestyle, Sept. 13
  • Wrestlers, Sept. 13
  • Ehrengard: The Art of Seduction, Sept. 14
  • Once Upon a Crime, Sept. 14
  • Love at First Sight, Sept. 15
  • Inside the World’s Toughest Prisons season 7, Sept. 15
  • The Count/El Conde, Sept. 15

One of the biggest things I was excited to check out was the docuseries WrestlersSadly, the series didn’t live up to the hype because of how Al Snow and the OVW team tried to spread plenty of misinformation within the series that came off badly. That said, fans of wrestling, it does give you an inside look at how a show is run and you can watch some fantastic wrestlers chasing their dreams.

The biggest release of the week comes from Pablo Larraín who brings his follow-up to Academy Award-nominated film Spencer in El Conde. The film is a black comedy horror film that Larraín co-wrote alongside Guillermo Calderón that follows Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet who lives as a vampire and decides to die after living for 250 years. I am a huge fan of Larraín and can’t wait to check this one out.

From our suggestions, what will you be watching? Are you excited about the first season of Wrestlers? Or will you be checking out El Conde with me? Let us know, and let’s hope next week brings us more Netflix additions.
