The SAG-AFTRA strikes have truly shaken up the world on entertainment. Because of it, this Fall TV season is shaping up to look a lot different than what we are used to. Most notably, many of our fall favorites will not be coming back with new episodes this season. Unfortunately, this includes several FOX shows, such as The Cleaning Lady, Accused, and more.

What TV fans will be rich of this fall season, are reality shows. Strikes or not, reality TV can’t be stopped, and let’s just say there is no shortage of these! There are also many shows across all networks that finished filming and editing before the strikes begun, so these will be able to air in the coming weeks.

But even with new and select returning shows, Fall TV staples will not be part of the season this year. Which FOX shows are we talking about? FOX released its schedule and a few of our favorite shows are missing. We share a list with you, below!

Best FOX shows not coming in 2023

The Cleaning Lady – Fans of the crime drama The Cleaning Lady will have to continue waiting for season 3 to arrive as it will, sadly, not be one of the FOX shows coming in 2023. The series was renewed for a third season in Feb. 2023, but work on the new episodes came to a halt after the strikes. If a deal is reached and the strikes come to an end, we can expect season 3 to premiere in early 2024.

9-1-1: Lone Star – Originally slated to arrive for the 2023 Fall TV season, the 9-1-1: Lone Star season 5 premiere has been pushed to sometime in 2024 due to the strikes. And buckle up, we are in for a long wait! As One Chicago Center shares, looking at previous release dates, Lone Star may not drop until late 2024. As soon as we learn more, we’ll update this post!

Animal Control – Another show that did not escape the strike delays is Animal Control, a new sitcom that almost instantly became a favorite. Now, we know there will be another season, but we’re not sure when! Our best guess is early 2024.

Alert: Missing Persons Unit – Season 2 of FOX’s latest procedural drama will not arrive this 2023 Fall TV season, or at all this year. Due to the strikes, FOX is pushing the show’s return to sometime in 2024.

Accused – Finally, another favorite that is nowhere to be found in FOX’s 2023-2024 schedule, is AccusedThe crime drama was renewed for a second season in March 2023. Fans were hoping new episodes would be here by fall 2023, but that’s a big ask considering there are typically more than five months before season. But even so, because of the strikes, it’s not even a possibility.

Which of these FOX shows were you hoping to watch this year? If all, which will you miss the most? It’s The Cleaning Lady for us!
