Just like any other sport, wrestling has its own following and a big group of fans who cheer the athletes on in the ring. World Wrestling Entertainment, aka the WWE, has multiple shows for viewers to watch and enjoy for that reason. Some of those are streaming on Hulu. But is that about to change?
Networks that don’t have their own streaming service will often partner with one to get its content to a wider audience, as well as provide a streaming option for fans. Some companies will do this even if they have their own streaming service to get more eyes on their shows and movies.
The WWE Network and Hulu came to an agreement in 2012 so the streaming service would add new episodes of shows like SmackDown and RAW the next day they air on television. So is that partnership still in place? We’ve got the answer for you below!
Is WWE content leaving Hulu?
While the streamer has not made an official announcement, it does seem like WWE content is leaving Hulu. If you head on over to the app and go into all of the shows, there’s an expiration tag on the episodes. It looks like all the shows and seasons are being removed on either Monday, Sept. 25, 2023 or Tuesday, Sept. 26.
The platform will sometimes have an expiration tag on a show and then it doesn’t end up being removed. But unfortunatley most of the time, it is true. Below we provided a list of all the WWE content on Hulu that is most likely affected and probably expiring soon:
- Monday Night RAW
- Friday Night SmackDown
- WWE Main Event
- WWE Superstars
- NXT Level Up
- WWE en Español
- WWE 205 Live
- Miz and Mrs
- Total Divas
- Total Bellas
It’s not clear whether Hulu will continue to stream new episodes of the shows the next day they air, let them remain on the streamer for a bit, and then remove them. For example, the Sept. 8 and Sept. 15 episodes of Friday Night SmackDown don’t have an expiration tag. But, the Sept. 1 and Aug. 25 episodes do. So new episodes might still come to Hulu, you’ll just have a limited time to watch them. Since it’s not 100% clear, just be sure to keep a close eye on your favorite shows and stream the installments right when they start streaming! You can also head over to Peacock to watch WWE content.
