The story of the man behind one of the world’s most famous cars is coming to the big screen. Here’s what to know about the upcoming drama Ferrari!
The very name Ferrari instantly conjures images of fast cars, style, and bearing. Now, director Michael Mann brings the story of Enzo Ferrari to life. The movie shows how Enzo became enraptured by cars at a young age, fought in World War I, survived the Spanish Flu, and soon began his rise in the automotive world.
From there, Enzo began crafting some amazing automobiles while backing multiple winners in the Le Mans car race. However, his often difficult management style caused conflicts, including worker walkouts, even as he built Ferrari into a brand.
The movie is written by Troy Kennedy Martin and based on the book Enzo Ferrari: The Man and the Machine by Brock Yates. It’s directed by Michael Mann, known for such amazing films as Heat and Collateral and looks ready to boost the fall theatrical slate.
