In 2006, 15-year-old Martin Krossnes was the typical Norwegian teenager in Bergen, heading to meet a boy he’d been chatting with online. Too late, Martin realized he’d been lured into a trap by an older man.
Luckily, Martin was able to escape and talk to a pair of police officers who were shocked to find the would-be predator was a cop himself. Seizing his computer, they soon discovered the man was part of a much wider web of predators into child trafficking.
The Norwegians soon reached out to the Italian police for a link to the chain, which continued to Romania, Afghanistan, and finally Hollywood, uncovering a stunning ring of pedophiles and trafficking. It was one of the largest investigations of its type in history, with dozens of arrests, indictments, and scores of investigations opened from it.
