Six women were sent home in the series premiere of The Golden Bachelor, but more were eliminated in the latest episode. Who went home after episode 2? Spoilers ahead if you missed the episode.
The Golden Bachelor follows 72-year-old Gerry Turner’s journey to find love for a second time after the loss of his wife of 43 years, Toni. She was Gerry’s high school sweetheart, and he still can’t talk about her without tears. It’s clear he still loves Toni and it is a love that won’t ever leave him, but Gerry is lonely. Gerry doesn’t want this to be the end. As he has shared, Gerry wants to have someone to talk to and watch the sunset with. With the support of his daughters, Gerry has decided to find love again and become ABC’s first Golden Bachelor. We’re rooting for you, Gerry!
At the start of things, Gerry appeared to feel overwhelmed by the whole process. He seemed more and more nervous as each woman stepped out of the limousine to greet him. In the second episode, Gerry is a lot more confident, and the women more nervous as they begin to fall for Gerry. But at the end of the night, someone has to go home.
Who went home on The Golden Bachelor tonight, Oct. 5?
I was a bit nervous at first because Faith did not get a rose right away like last week. She’s one of my favorites along with Edith and Theresa. Who are you rooting for? Do you need to watch more episodes before you decide?
The women who didn’t get a rose tonight, were Natascha, Jeanie, and Peggy.
Next episode, there will be fewer women. It’ll be sad to see the mansion not as full, but this will also give Gerry the chance to get to know them all a little better. After all, they have not all enjoyed one on one time with Gerry.
Watch new episodes of The Golden Bachelor Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET only on ABC and next day on Hulu.
