Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour was one of the biggest concert events to ever happen, and the addition of new concert dates and a second North American run of the show hasn’t kept fans from desperately seeking out the chance to attend.

When Swift announced that the tour would be released as a movie in theaters, fans were just as eager to purchase tickets, with many fans even buying tickets to multiple showings to experience the film with premium sound and visual quality.

For those who want to prepare for the extravagant movie event and for those who just want to relive the magic of the concert itself, the setlist is a great way to soak up all the Swiftie energy. Here’s a full breakdown of what songs Taylor Swift performed, the changes that took place over the course of the tour, and any information we have on the movie version’s surprise songs.

Will the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie include surprise songs?

The one element of the concert not represented in this setlist is the inclusion of two surprise songs between the 1989 and Midnights sets. In theory, each performance had different surprise songs, providing fans with entirely unique experiences. While there were some songs performed multiple times over the course of the tour, they were never paired up the same way.

With this in mind, fans are curious to see what surprise songs will be shown in the movie—if there are any at all. The film is set to run 2 hours and 45 minutes, which is shorter than the concert itself. Surprise songs would be an easy way to cut down on time, as they are a part of the tour that is hard to capture in a cinematic setting.

However, the trailer includes Swift welcoming the audience to the acoustic set (where the surprise songs always turn up), so we can say with certainty that there will be surprise songs in the movie.

As far as we know, the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie was put together based on the Aug. 3-5 performances at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The movie’s surprise songs will likely be chosen from the six surprise songs performed during that time.

These songs include:

  • August 3:
    • “I Can See You”
    • “Maroon”
  • August 4:
    • “Our Song”
    • “You Are In Love”
  • August 5:
    • “Death by a Thousand Cuts”
    • “You’re On Your Own, Kid”

There is a chance that different theaters or showings will offer different surprise songs, as a way to give fans the chance to have a different experience if they see the film more than once. Fans have even theorized that Swift might have recorded completely new surprise songs just for the movie.

However, since the minute-and-a-half-long trailer includes three references to Swift’s entire music career, it is highly likely that she will include “Our Song,” as it is the only song from her self-titled album represented in the shows that were filmed. The other song, however, will remain a mystery until the film is released.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie will be in theaters worldwide, starting Oct. 13, 2023.
