Based on a True Story season 2 synopsis and cast
Since the show was just renewed for season 2, there is not a lot of information yet about what will occur. In an interview, actor Tom Bateman discussed the possibility of diving more into the backstory of his character, the notorious serial killer in question. This would be an interesting plot to go into, especially since there is that fascination with discovering what caused someone to begin committing horrible acts.
Season 2 may also delve into more of what will occur once Ava and Nathan’s baby is born. Plus, with the way season 1 ended, it could also lead into the different paths that could occur for the couple. Check back to Hidden Remote for updates as we learn more about what to expect.
In addition to Cuoco and Messina, the show also stars Bateman, Liana Liberato, Natalie Dyer, Priscilla Quintana, Li Jun Li, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, and more. More information about who will return has not been announced, but we will keep you posted.
Based on a True Story season 2 release date is unknown
Peacock has yet to announce when the series will be released. Since SAG is still on strike, it may be a while before production on the series can even take place. The writers could start work on season 2 since the WGA has ended their strike after reaching an agreement with the AMPTP. However, with the SAG strike still ongoing, other aspects of production such as casting and filming would not be allowed unless there was an interim agreement with the union.
We will continue to keep an eye out for more news related to Based on a True Story season 2. You can watch all of season 1 on Peacock.
