The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers (Nov. 13-17): The grandkids learn Eric’s dying
Curiouser and curiouser, The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for the next two weeks aren’t available so this week I can only share what’s set to happen from Nov.13-17.
Don’t take this as a sign that Eric Forrester isn’t long for this world. We know John McCook has reportedly signed a three year extension to his contract. If that news holds, we’ll be seeing him on the soap until at least 2026. That, of course, doesn’t mean the writers won’t be milking Eric’s supposedly pending death through November and into December. Two of his children–Thorne (Winsor Harmon) and Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones)–are set for Dec. 6 and 7 returns, respectively. Prepare for tears!
I should be warning you to do the same for this week as well given the spoilers:
- Monday, Nov. 13: Liam declares his love and asks Steffy to leave Finn. Li and Poppy continue to hash out the past.
- Tuesday, Nov. 14: Luna gives Poppy some advice, stand up to Li. Ridge tells Steffy and Thomas that Eric is dying.
- Wednesday, Nov. 15: Thomas struggles with the news about Eric. Brooke, along with her sisters, tell Hope about Eric’s condition.
- Thursday, Nov. 16: Liam’s shocked by how serious Thope have gotten. Steffy invites Luna to dinner which makes the young woman nervous.
- Friday, Nov. 17: Thomas stands his grounds when it comes to his relationship with Hope and Brooke’s feelings on it. Steffy asks Luna about her intentions toward RJ.
The promo is devoted to Steffy, Thomas, and Hope learning that Eric is dying with Forrester patriarch still refusing to bring the whole family in on the truth. Ridge even shares with his children that Eric doesn’t want anyone to know which means everyone is going to be living this charade where he thinks they’re in the dark even while they’re tearfully telling him what he means to them. That’s going to grow old fast. Hopefully Eric sees reason soon.
Launching into our weekly breakdown, Monday, Nov. 13‘s episode promises some Steam content. When we left off with them on Friday, Steffy was giving Liam that wide-eyed look of hers like she doesn’t know what to do with his clearly stated feelings. She’s unlikely to slip while she and Finn are in a good place but, if she wants Liam to back off, she’s going to have to lay down the law.
While she could bring that “no funny business” attitude on Monday, Friday’s episode did not have that energy so if you’re a Sinn fan, don’t be surprised if it’s not there. To my fellow Steam shippers, I hope this bone they’re throwing our way is delicious. Up until the Rome arc, we’d been deprived of good content for them. Is it messy? Absolutely, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be enjoying it.
Tuesday, Nov. 14 has Luna reacting to Li and Poppy’s argument from Monday. To be honest, unless we get a real reason for Li’s intense animosity, this feud is going to be a loud but uninteresting part of The Bold and the Beautiful. As such, my full attention will be directed toward Steffy and Thomas receiving the news that Eric is dying. It’s going to be hard for Ridge to tell them, and I bet it’s going to be a standout scene for Thorsten Kaye, Jacqueline McInnes Wood, and Matthew Atkinson.
By the middle of the week, Wednesday, Nov. 15, Hope will be told the news as well. Eric had served a grandfatherly role in her life from her childhood into her early twenties but, in recent years, the two haven’t really had many scenes. Perhaps that’ll change going forward but, for now, it looks like she’ll be learning the truth so Hope can finally be of emotional support to Thomas.
He’s understandably going to be struggling and, on Thursday, Nov. 16, I’m hoping that means that the connection Liam witnesses is deeper than the sexual nature of their relationship. The two keep getting walked in on but it would be nice, if for once, it’s during a moment of vulnerability where you can tell Hope sees Thomas as more than a means for her to feel good.
Friday, Nov. 17, Luna will be pushing past her nerves to enjoy a dinner at Steffy’s house. Do expect the young intern to be grilled by Steffy about her feelings. She’s got a little brother to look after and protect. Meanwhile, their older brother will be defending his relationship with Hope to Brooke once again.
