If you were hoping for a new Thanksgiving episode this year on The Bold and the Beautiful sorry to tell you that’s not what’s set to air. While the soap did give thanks on Wednesday, Nov. 22, it did so via a special episode dedicated to Brooke and Ridge’s “destined” love. There weren’t plans for a family gathering. As such, on Thursday, Nov. 23, we’re being treated to a re-run.
The episode airing is from 2021 and focuses on the Thanksgiving that Deacon and Sheila spent together when they were wishing they could spend it with their families. They fantasized about what could have been rather than the reality they were living spending the holiday apart from their children.
There is, however, a gathering in the episode. It’s just not at Forrester Mansion. Instead, the festivities were held at Logan Manor as Hope lamented the absence of her father. Finn was also in attendance so Sheila being his birth mother was a topic of discussion. But even with all the drama going on at this point in the soap’s story, the family found a way to set it to the side to give thanks for each other and the relationships they cherish.
As for when we’ll be fast forwarded to the present storyline on The Bold and the Beautiful, don’t count on it being Friday, Nov. 24. In fact, don’t count on the CBS daytime program being on at all. The network won’t be airing a rerun on Black Friday. Football is primed to takeover its airwaves, college football to be exact.
The Iowa Hawkeyes are going up against the Nebraska Cornhuskers at Memorial Stadium starting at 12 p.m. ET. Yes, this does mean Young and the Restless will also be off air this Friday. Both soaps will return to airing new episodes on Monday, Nov. 27.
