A quick glance at the Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for the week of Dec. 11:

  • Monday, Dec. 11: Finn has optimistic news for Eric’s loved ones at the patriarch’s hospital bedside. Ridge has to make the most difficult decision of his life.
  • Tuesday, Dec. 12: Donna and Steffy push Ridge to do the right thing. Eric’s family remember their best moments with him.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 13: Finn details how Eric might still have a chance to live. Ridge lets Donna say goodbye to Eric.
  • Thursday, Dec. 14: Bridget and Thorne advocate for their father against their brother Ridge.
  • Friday, Dec. 15: It’s a race to save Eric’s life for Finn and Bridget. As Eric’s condition gets worse, Ridge wrestles with his decision.

Remember when Carter walked into the design office questioning why Eric was updating his will and granting Ridge medical power of attorney? Well, that plot point is coming into play with an urgency thanks to Eric collapsing in the middle of his farewell soiree. The realism is about to hit all of us in the face as the family heads to the hospital on Monday, Dec. 11 because it’s going to be up to Eric’s eldest child to decide how long he has left on this Earth.

We can definitely expect tensions to be high as Ridge, his siblings, and the rest of Eric’s loved ones aren’t likely to agree on how best to move forward with his care especially if the choice is to allow him to pass. Eric was adamant that he didn’t want to live out his days in a hospital, it’s why he refused to seek any treatment that would necessitate spending time in a ward.

Ridge may want to honor that despite Donna and Steffy’s protests on Tuesday, Dec. 12 and Thorne and Bridget’s on Thursday, Dec. 14. The four of them likely are going to want him to hold off on making a decision that could end Eric’s life prematurely. While Ridge could be advocating for compassion, they could be arguing for time since Finn could be making a breakthrough that has the potential to save Eric’s life, hence the doctor and Bridget racing to keep the man alive on Friday, Dec. 15.

Whatever happens we’re sure to see some performances next week on The Bold and the Beautiful. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote for more news and coverage of the soap.
