10. Danny Mahealani (Keahu Kahuanui)

Final Appearance: Season 3, Episode 24 “The Devine Move”

Last Known Whereabouts: After losing his brother, Aiden, Ethan was eager to leave Beacon Hills behind him – which meant cutting off all remaining ties to the town. Before leaving town Ethan went to break up with Danny, revealing that he simply could not stay any longer. Ever the man of few words, Danny shrugged things off noting that he could never date a werewolf – surprising everyone with his knowledge of the town’s supernatural beings. After the break-up Danny went MIA and has yet to be seen again.

Why it’s Time for Danny to Return to Beacon Hills: By a show of hands, whose jaw dropped to the floor when Danny revealed his awareness of the supernatural beings located within Beacon Hills? When Danny dropped that bomb on us in the Season 3 finale our minds began racing with questions: How long has Danny known about the town’s werewolf infestation? How exactly did he find out? Does Danny have ties to the supernatural world? Just when we began to hope that Danny’s storyline was about to expand, Danny suddenly disappeared with absolutely no explanation.

While Danny may not have ever played a major role in the series’ central storylines, he was a much-needed distraction from the supernatural world. Someone who was surrounded by supernatural beings and yet seemed none the wiser to their existence or presence. Then BOOM, Danny drops the “W” word to Ethan!

It’s truly a shame that  the writers wrote Danny off just when they added a new layer of depth to the character and ever since his departure we’ve been holding out hope for his return to Beacon Hills.
